Quasar License Agreement
The agreement Quasar asks you to accept the first time it opens, published here so you can read it before you download.
QUASAR LICENSE AGREEMENT

This agreement is between you and Nem088 (the "Licensor") and covers the
Quasar software, including its updates, documentation and any part of it
(together, "Quasar"). By downloading, installing or using Quasar, or by
choosing "I Agree" when Quasar asks, you accept this agreement. If you do not
accept it, do not use Quasar and delete every copy you have.
1. LICENSE
Subject to this agreement, the Licensor grants you a personal,
non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to
install and use Quasar, in the form in which the Licensor distributes it
at https://lowki.xyz/quasar, on computers that you own or control, for your
own personal, educational, research or internal business purposes.
2. RESTRICTIONS
You may not, and may not allow anyone else to:
(a) copy Quasar, except for one backup copy and the copies made
automatically when unpacking and running it;
(b) distribute, publish, share, sell, rent, lease, lend or sublicense
Quasar, or otherwise make it available to anyone else, including over
a network or as a hosted service;
(c) modify, adapt or translate Quasar, or create derivative works of it;
(d) reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or decrypt Quasar, or
otherwise attempt to derive its source code, algorithms or internal
structure, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits
it despite this restriction;
(e) remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark or other notice in
Quasar;
(f) circumvent or disable any technical measure in Quasar, including its
license acceptance and its local security controls;
(g) use Quasar, or knowledge gained from its internals, to build a
competing product, or use its code to train machine-learning models.
3. OWNERSHIP
Quasar is licensed, not sold. The Licensor and its licensors keep all
right, title and interest in Quasar, including all copyrights, trade
secrets and other intellectual property rights in it. You receive no
rights other than those this agreement expressly grants. If you send the
Licensor feedback or suggestions, the Licensor may use them without
obligation to you.
4. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
Quasar includes open-source components that their authors license under
their own terms. They are listed, with their license texts, in
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt; Electron and Chromium are covered by
LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html. Those licenses govern
those components, and nothing in this agreement limits the rights they
give you. Where such a license requires source code to be available (for
example MPL-2.0), it is available from that component's publisher.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
If you set up a quantum-computing provider (such as IQM Resonance or IBM
Quantum), "Execute QPU" sends the circuits of that run to the provider,
using your own account and access token. Your use of a provider is
governed by your agreement with that provider; the Licensor is not
responsible for its services, charges or handling of your data. Your
access tokens are stored only on your computer.
6. PRIVACY
Quasar does not collect, transmit or sell personal data and contains no
telemetry or advertising. The data you load into Quasar stays on your
computer, except as described in section 5.
7. NOT ADVICE
Quasar is a computational and educational tool. Its results, including
those of its trading, hedging, portfolio, option-pricing, risk,
optimisation, cryptography and security features, may be inaccurate or
incomplete, and are not financial, investment, legal or security advice.
You alone are responsible for any decision you make using them. Do not
rely on Quasar's cryptography features to protect real secrets.
8. NO WARRANTY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QUASAR IS PROVIDED
"AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY
KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET
ENJOYMENT OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT QUASAR
WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ITS RESULTS WILL BE CORRECT.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LICENSOR WILL NOT
BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY
OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL
OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO QUASAR OR THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN
IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. THE LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL
CLAIMS RELATING TO QUASAR OR THIS AGREEMENT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF
THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR QUASAR IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND
FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD 50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain
warranties or liabilities to be excluded or limited; in those
jurisdictions the exclusions and limits above apply only as far as the law
allows.
10. TERM AND TERMINATION
This agreement lasts until it ends. It ends automatically, without
notice, if you break any of its terms. When it ends you must stop using
Quasar and delete every copy of it. Sections 2 to 4 and 7 to 12 survive
the end of this agreement.
11. UPDATES AND SUPPORT
The Licensor may, but does not have to, provide updates or support. This
agreement applies to any update the Licensor provides, unless the update
comes with a different agreement.
12. GENERAL
You must comply with all export-control and sanctions laws that apply to
your use of Quasar. You may not assign or transfer this agreement; the
Licensor may. If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, that
part is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in
effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. This agreement is the
entire agreement between you and the Licensor about Quasar.
